Our Mission
To develop sustainable housing, deliver supportive programs, and expand opportunities that help individuals and families build stability, independence, and a higher quality of life across North Carolina.

Innovating Affordable Housing
for a Better Tomorrow
NCGDI is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit community development organization based in Winston-Salem, NC. We design and develop affordable and recovery-oriented housing models that promote long-term stability, wellness, and economic opportunity.
Affordable Housing Development
We develop, acquire, and preserve affordable housing to ensure safe, stable homes are available to individuals and families throughout North Carolina — including recovery-oriented and supportive housing communities.
Supportive Services & Recovery
Through trusted community partners, residents gain access to case management, recovery resources, mental health referrals, transportation assistance, life-skills support, and peer mentorship.
Workforce & Economic Mobility
We are developing a comprehensive workforce training and economic mobility program — skilled trades, digital literacy, resume coaching, and job placement — helping residents move from stability to independence.
Landlord & Community Partnerships
We collaborate with public agencies, nonprofits, service providers, landlords, and community stakeholders to expand housing access and create measurable community impact across North Carolina.
